WHAT IS
NANOTECHNOLOGY?

Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale.  In its original sense, ‘nanotechnology’ refers to the projected ability to construct items from the bottom up, using techniques and tools being developed today to make complete, high-performance products.

It’s hard to imagine how small nanotechnology is. One nanometer is a billionth of a meter or 10⁻9 of a meter. On a comparative scale, if a marble were a nanometer, then one meter would be the size of the Earth.

WHY USE
NANOTECHNOLOGY?

What is so special about the nanoscale is that the material’s properties change significantly from those at large scale. This is the size range where so-called quantum effects rule the behavior and properties of particles.

A fascinating and compelling result of the quantum effects of the nanoscale is the concept of “tunability” of properties. At this level, scientists can fine-tune a material characteristic of interest.

By applying nanotechnology science, materials can effectively be made stronger, lighter, more durable, more reactive, more sieve-like, or better electrical conductors, among many other traits.

CREATE THE IMPOSSIBLE

From research & development to the final product, we can join efforts to conceive an advantage edge that will infuse a game–changing solution into your projects.

The Nano-Science & Technology Center currently owns the proprietary rights of multiple core technologies, which host various trademarks that can be blended with your current materials with much ease, offering an infinite of possibilities.

HeliAct™

High power Artificial Muscles

HeliAct™ technology provides greener, long-life, low-cost artificial muscles that can replace the mechanical complexity of motors with fibers that will actuate in highly-controlled manners.

DryDraw® and cSilk®

Easy, elegant and straightforward Carbon nanotubes

Unlike traditional processing methods involving liquids/powders, LINTEC's CNT technology delivers robust, transparent, chemically stable, flexible and transparent sheets, tapes and yarns.  DryDraw® fabrication processes will supply uniform CNT sheets suitable for continuous, high-rate production.

PROJECT PHASES

1.– Research

We implement systematic and well-documented strategies that lead to the discovery and the acknowledgment of the aspects that we can improve in your project through nanotechnology.

3.– Standardization

We extend the trial period when developing, to obtain the greatest number of standards sets per product. In this way, we can provide effective benchmarking that can reach regulation points.

5.– Production

Leveraging the vast industrial resources of the global LINTEC Group, we can scale up the manufacturing and commercialization of nano-engineered applications.  We can also develop and produce a variety of equipment optimally design to take the most advantage of your solutions.

2.– Prototyping

Convert your designs into fully developed products. The idea of scaling the manufacturing of your developments motivates our research.

4.– Licensing

Our team can provide the necessary counseling so that can convert your intangible asset into full business arrangements.  There are few faster or more profitable ways to grow your business than by licensing patents, trademarks, copyrights, designs.
